PROJECTS
The Omeko Experience foundation is a vision beyond me, this vision is going to help shape and mold the next generation here in the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. We believe that through this foundation we are becoming THE MASTER’S HANDS EXTENDED IN THE EARTH.
This can only happen with the help and support of you guys. Help by investing into the next Generation and in building our communities.
We hope you would consider becoming a partner or a sponsor so we can bring this vision to pass. Here are some of the projects we are looking into accomplishing through this foundation with your help. These are our short and long term goals.
Multi-Purpose Building
To build a "multi-purpose building" throughout our island, so our young people can have a safe and positive place to be while being empowered with the tools they need to be productive citizens in this country and elsewhere. The buildings will be called the ME FOUNDATION buildings, (The place where dreams become reality).
Media Ministry Center
This is vitally important in trying to reach this generation, we are firm believers in the saying “You have to meet them where they are” and most of them live on social media. We will have our own RADIO and TELEVISION stations; this will allow us to have more say in what is influencing our young people every day. Media plays a major role in shaping this generation; we have a vision to direct our culture in a positive way. (O Foundation Media Stations of the Bahamas.)
LAND AND PROPERTY PROJECT AND DEVELOPMENT
Land and property is imperative to accomplish the building projects, fortunately land is not too difficult to get right now especially for the things we want to do. Your partnerships and donations of getting land is key for this vision. We ask that you consider moving on this one as quickly as you can. Let’s meet the challenges of a changing generation.
ECONOMIC EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT
We believe that moving forward this is imperative to invest in, to educate the people in this area. Poverty has controlled our community, so in order to break the poverty control we have to be educated to bring empowerment in this area. We will host financial workshops all over the island, and invest in bringing in trainers with the skills to teach and empower the people. (O.F. ECONOMIC WORKSHOPS)
Joy Ride
FREE transportation system for the island, mainly for students who have no means of getting back and forth to and from school. This will also provide help to our elderly citizens who need assistance getting around, this is a real issue we are face will on our island. Omeko Experience Foundation will make a difference by providing this service which has never been done by an organization on our island, but most of all, it will have a tremendous impact on our communities in need. This will be call OEF TRANSPORTATION, (JOY RIDE)
All Age School
Our vision is to open our own school called O FOUNDATION ALL AGE SCHOOL. It is crucial and important that we create our own educational system, this is the area we can make the most impact in our generation. Our vision is to have our school, to shape and mold our youth’s minds and teach them moral standards in excellence which will impact our country greatly.
OUR HOUSING PROJECT AND DEVELOPMENT
The homeless population has increased and is overwhelming here. We already have begun taking families off the street to help them get a roof over their head. We desire to create safe homes for displaced families. This transitional housing will be like a subdivision to help take families off the streets for a period of time to help them become self-sufficient. This project is much needed; we know this first hand, your support is appreciated.
Scholarship Program
By working with students for over 15 years, we know the importance of having a scholarship program in place to help kids who did amazing in school but due to circumstances they have to put their dreams of furthering their education on hold. We want to be able to give scholarships to these deserving students. Education empowerment is a major component in the OE Foundation. The success of this program will help shift our economy in the near future.
Travel Club
We always wanted to see less fortunate kids get to travel out of this country like we had the chance to. Most of our young people are caged in because they have never had the opportunity to visit the world outside of the island, this will be a mind blowing experience for many. We believe with your support this will happen.
REHABILITATION CENTER
We will provide services for at risk youth in our residential treatment center. this will help change a lot of what's taking place with our young people, especially the ones that get incarcerated and then reoffend because there is no place right now for them to be rehabilitated. We will also help other citizens with mental issues. We want to open the first rehabilitation center on the island to get them the help that is needed. (CHANGE A MIND CHANGE A LIFE.)
FEEDING AND CLOTHING PROGRAMS
This is one thing we have been doing for a long time just on our own with our own funding, but the results and the response has been so great we refused to stop. This foundation will allow us to do this on a larger scale, where we can feed and clothe many more citizens who really need it. This is an ongoing effort because it’s so much needed. Help us keep this going, we were one of the first to assist a few people after the bad storms a couple years ago with food, clothes and generators. Your assistance is helping us to extend our hands in the community.
FLY FISHING BONEFISHING AND GUIDING SCHOOL
This is the industry that helped get me to this place of creating my own foundation. This is a unique sport that many might not know about, but it is one of the best kept secrets on this side of heaven. This industry means so much to the Bahamas and our economy that if it fails we are in for a rough ride. The way to make sure that doesn't happen is by helping this vision come to pass, where we educate and train our young people about the industry and teach them to be professionals in the sport. They will be able to carry it on for generations to come. This is crucial and this is my heart. I want this to be a part of the legacy I leave behind. (A VISION BEYOND THE FLATS)
A NEW HOSPITAL
There are tremendous medical disadvantages because we have a lack of hospitals on our island, with your support we will open A NEW HOSPITAL that is greatly needed. All who see this; let’s blow our minds by making this happen
As you can see this vision is much bigger than me and that's why I am appealing to the rest of the world to help this great vision by this young man from the islands of the Bahamas who only has a vision and a passion to see this come to pass. I hope your hearts connected with my heart, so we together can see this vision fulfilled.
